"Theirs & Ours" was originally recorded at Black Lodge Studios in Eudora, Kansas in 2006. The material was recorded live with minimal overdubs. After deciding that the results weren't satisfactory, and nearly giving up on the album, DP & Steve Squire decided to tear it down and rebuild. The resulting album had DP overdubbing much Moog synthesizer, many guitars, and drums, as well as adding in several 4-track recordings done at home. This version of "Theirs & Ours" is more indicative of what the album was originally intended to be.
